Hi Keith, The process hasn't changed from your version to the present. First, make your program the active window, and then press Control-backslash to open the Window-Eyes control panel. Press Alt-H to open the Help menu, arrow down to Show advanced options, and, if it's not checked, press Enter to check it. Find the Association node in the treeview, press right arrow to expand it, and then pressing the right arrow will bring you to the Current association item. Press tab, and, if you don't have a unique set file already associated with your program, the Current association edit box will have the name default.set in it. In this edit box, you would type a unique name related to the program you're creating a set file for, and try not to pick a name of an already existing set file, and this can sometimes be tricky, but my advice is to be as unique as possible in choosing your name. Anyway, once you've chosen a name, the info below, taken from the manual should help you out:
Current Association: Set File - Edit Box Enter the name for the active set file. Association - Combo Box This combo box lets you determine how the Set file should be associated to the current program. If you choose Title, the Set file will load when the text in the program's title bar matches what is present when you configure this association. If you choose by Class, then Window-Eyes will load the Set file when the window class of the program to which you are associating gains focus. If you choose None, Window-Eyes will not automatically associate the Set file to the active program. Save and Associate - Button This button causes Window-Eyes to create the set file specified above if it does not already exist along with the type of program I hope this helps, Rod -----Original Message----- From: Talk [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Keith S via Talk Sent: November 16, 2015 4:18 PM To: gwmicro <[email protected]> Subject: we 7.5.2 question how to make set files Hello, still using a windows xp machine with window eyes 7.5.2.
