Subject: OT Very Strange Thing Happened

I am visiting my daughter and family in NY. Everyone is asleep at 1:00 AM. I woke up, got up and came into the dining room and turned on my computer which was plugged in there charging the battery.

This loud burglar alarm type noise started. It was very loud. Sounded like a car alarm in that it kept changing alarm sounds. Beeping, then steady tone then other tones then back to beeping. It was so loud that I did not connect it with my computer.

I thought that my daughter had an alarm system with a motion detector that they neglected to tell me about.

Finally my son in law got up, staggered into the room half asleep and turned off my computer. He read something on the screen but I was so shocked that I don’t remember what it was.
I can’t imagine my computer making such a racket.

Has anyone else ever encountered such a thing? I’ve had computers since about 1988 and never had this happen.

I have a Del lap top with Win 10, WE 9.2.

On average, an American man will have sex two to three times a week, whereas a Japanese man will have sex only one or two times a year. This is upsetting news to me....I had no idea I was Japanese.
