Hi listers,
I have a 32biyt PC still running Win7 Home Premium Service Pack 1. For some
reason I cannot explain at the moment, I decided to install and run Virtual
View. I could not get it to work, and, so I called AISquared and Dave helped me
install all the necessary parts. After that he discovered that I did not have
any “Windows Features” in my system. HMMM!
I called Microsoft Disabilities and they re-installed Win7 with the Windows
Features. Even with the “TIFF” feature turned on nothing seemed to work.
Well, I also discovered that during the update of Win7 my HP Laser Jet software
was voided, my Duxbury Braille Translater settings changed, and many of my
directories/subdirectories relocated. With the gracious help of Peter at IRTI,
Chris Grabowsky and sighted members of the family after about 5 days I was
finally able to get most things back into a familiar working order. Updating
isn’t everything it is cracked up to be! or is it?
OH! BTW, I still haven’t tried to get Virtual View to running, although the
webinar is awaiting my attention. smile!
Thankfully yours,
Grant, A.K.A. Grandpa DOS
