I really don't know why it happens here on this list, but on other lists I 
frequent, it is set up that way in the mail options.

That is because of the way that AISquared has the email set up. I also think
that the posts should not be addressed to the person and the email list
both. This causes the person to get two copies.

When replying to the List, go into the to: box and delete either the persons
address or the email list.

If you delete the person's email, the message will go to the List and the
person will get it.

If you delete the List address, then only the person will get the message,
not the entire list.
