If Narrator is turning on by itself for a second or 2 then turning off by
itself how do I check to see if that is happening?

Also, typing using the Microsoft server synth and the Sappie synth wont keep
nearly up with how I type no matter how fast I set the voice settings for them.
They just wont speak anything when I type fast, this doesn’t sound like they
are working properly but only the Eloquence voicing keeps up clearly no matter
how fast I type.

Also, when testing the synths after the voice reverts it doesn’t revert to the
original setting but a lower volume setting and stays there until I don’t
navigate anyplace for a couple of seconds which sounds like the same voicing of
the first letters, lower volume with a similar sound and this low volume voice
will stay working until I wait a second or 2 and then the voice I have set with
the louder voice settings start up again so something sure seems wrong with the
synths.

I don’t remember sappie having problems typing and reporting what I typed and
what gives with these multiple voices.

If Narrator is involved how do I turn it off so it wont come on by itself?

are you hearing two different voices?

check to see if the narrator voice is turning on. if so the w e voice will be
turned down when narrator starts talking. then returns to normal when narrator
stops.

OK so I don’t have the enhanced item in the tab group, only the other 3.
Guess my sound card for my headphones, no speakers, does not support this
feature - so the enhanced setting is not applicable to my speech problems.
I think I have narrowed the problems to either WindowEyes or Eloquence or
settings.
But, tomorrow I will install jaws and if no problems with speech that will
eliminate the possibility of it being a windows10 or driver or sound card
problem and reinforce it being a windoweyes or Eloquence problem, either bugs
or settings.
The worst problem so far is the dropping of the first letter(s), actually
spoken very softely and perhaps in another voicing, perhaps some WE setting
changing mid speech or synth settings changing mid speech or something like WE
starting reading the line with one voic then clearing the speech buffer and
reading the rest of the line with another, louder, voicing.
Someone said they hear WE speaking as if there were for short times 2 versions
of WindowEyes running at the same time and that could also be the result of the
same senario I mentioned above reading something then reading what is after it
in another voicing since I have entire words read in the lower diferent voicing
after clicking on some things before we started speaking in the correct voicing
making it sound like WE was speaking something, then changed voicing and it or
another version of WE was reading the rest of the line or phrase - again, don’t
know yet but it sure is discomforting.
Other weird things happen from time to time.
Just now I did a read to end to validate this message, the menu bar opened by
itself and when I closed it said "frame" I moved around and normal speech came
back and I typed this adendum to my original posting in case others notice this
latest annoyance and have any setting ideas that may have caused it.

Enter Sound into the search field. You should get Sound, Control panel.
Press ENTER.
You should come in on Select a playback device below to modify its settings.
Arrow to your default device, tab to the Properties button, and activate it.
You should come in on a tabbed interface under the General tab.
The tabs should be General, Levels, Enhancements, and Advanced.

Hth,
Tom
