Hello everyone,
I am new to WindowEyes, and I am hopeful I can use it to solve the following
software application. A program will be running on a PC which will be receiving
position data from a machine I will be controlling. A specific region on the
screen will be receiving the changing 4-digit numerical data in the form 8.273
or -1.047. When a new value is received by the PC, the previously displayed
value is discarded and is replaced by the new value in the same location on the
screen. I would like to have WindowEyes automatically read the number aloud as
soon as the number changes without me having to go to the keyboard to interact
with the PC, because my hands are being occupied controlling the machine. I
recall that many years ago that WindowEyes had a feature called something like
hyper active windows where a region on the screen could be monitored for a
change, and when a specific result occurred at that location, this could
trigger an event. Does this capability still exist in the cu
rrent version of WindowEyes, and if so can it be used to accomplish what I
have described? Thanks for taking the time to read this post, and I look
forward to hearing your thoughts on what I have described or other solutions.
All the best,
Dennis
