I believe a part of the problem is a focus issue within Windows itself. Also
any propritory software such as: Del support, etc can cause problems. I
always go to the control panel and get rid of all those Del programs and
that helps a lot. The best, most problem free system I've ever had were the
ones that I put together myself and installed my copy of windows on.

I am one of the customers of A I Squared that seems to have a computer
than hates WE 9.X. Because 9.X has not ran very well, for very long
on my system. Others state they have no problems.
Bought 9.1, then 9.2, and was hoping for much improvement with 9.3.
MS Word seems to work a bit better, especially when using the Spell
Checker.
I am not noticing much difference in over all speed. And regretfully,
I still have the Speech go away. It happens in Becky, on Youtube, on
Ebay, and on other web sites.
I have lost the Read to End feature when in Becky.
When first starting up the System, Speech comes on, but if I Tab around,
there is no Speech, even if I attempt to read the screen by using Short
Cut Keys.
I have asked sighted friends if there is something on the screen other
than the Win 7 Desk top, and they say no. There are no Pop Ups, or
other messages grabbing the focus. So what is happening here?
I NEED a System that talks, and is reliable. I use this system every
day. I am looking to purchase a different system in an attempt to gain
back a system that talks and keeps talking.
Guess the question is this- How would I know if the New computer would
run 9.3 Happily?
At least to my knowledge, there doesn't seem to be any known conflicts
to be avoiding.
Win 7, Win 8, and Win 10 users, have all reported the same kinds of
problems. Lap tops, Desk Tops, 8 GB 16 GB, even 4 GB of memory doesn't
seem to make any difference. Some systems work and some do not.
I admit, I am spoiled, and I am used to having a computer that reads the
screens of all of my programs. Even goes on the internet and does well
enough.
However, since 9.0, Window Eyes has been a major problem. So many lock
ups, Freezes, Speech dropping out, and other strange happenings, way too
many. And some days are worse than others. One day, I might get
through with two or three failures. The next day is so ridiculous, I
just turn the system off and go do something else, because the system is
unusable.
I have had Tech Support look at my system, and they see nothing, in fact,
they say it is quite clean of junk. And yet, for what ever reasons,
my system hates WE 9.X.
So which Desk top should I purchase? I am already angry about 9.X. So
if I purchase a new system, and I get the same problems, I am not going
to be a pleasant customer.
I am sure that some at A I Squared are also tired of people like me who
seem to have unsolvable conflicts. I get it, I understand.
What I need is some communication.
Telling me that others have no problems gives me hope, but doesn't solve
my problem. And if you donot have a solution, then tell me as much.
Getting an I don't know is better than no response what so ever. If
you don't know, you don't know.
so, if anyone dares, would you suggest to me a desk top system that I
could purchase that 9.3 would be happy, and then I would be Happy?
Thanks, this is one of those days I have had the computer on for about
two hours and have already had to reboot 3 times due to speech going
away, or suffering a Lock up.
