Don,
I just did some testing on my Windows 10 PC with Window-Eyes 9.3.1 and NVDA
2015.4. My testing showed that the Staples website presented major issues for
both screen readers when using Internet Explorer. But, when I tested the same
page in Firefox, I was able to use the Search field without issue. So, my best
suggestion is to try using Firefox for this particular website as it seems to
not play well with Internet Explorer. I often find that Firefox handles dynamic
websites like this one better than Internet Explorer. Good luck.
Regards,
Marc

Subject: trouble with web site

Running WE 9.2 on a Win 10 system and using IE 11.
If I go to the Staples web site and move to the search edit box and hit
enter to turn off browse mode I am no longer on the edit box thus can
not enter a search. link listed below.
Thanks Anyone else experiencing this?
