Hi Michael, Here's a solution I googled and found. Read over these instructions, and then look below for some notes I made for you. I'm posting these instructions to the list in case someone else might benefit:
I had this problem too! I hardly ever use Bluetooth so I always have it off and the only way I could turn it off is by going to: (Use short-cut) Windows key + R to open Run Type in devmgmt.msc and hit Enter Under Bluetooth > right click on your Bluetooth adapter > Disable I disabled the adapter named "Qualcomm Atheros AR3011 Bluetooth (R) Adapter And that turned it off for me. The first one I disabled (Microsoft Blutetooth Enumerator) didn't turn it off but the one I mentioned above did and disabling it won't affect your internet connection. Your Wi-Fi indicator light might turn off if you disable your Bluetooth adapter (it only did once for me, now it's back on) but it doesn't disconnect the internet. And if you miss seeing it on and looking at it, re-enable the bluetooth adapter lol simple. Hope I helped you or anyone else who has this issue. Kind regards, Kara Michael, note that you have to press tab after opening the device manager and then press the letter B once or twice in order to find Bluetooth. Then, you have to press right arrow to expand the Bluetooth node and down arrow until you find your Bluetooth adaptor. Once you find it, you can press the applications key or shift-F10, press down arrow until you find Disable, and then press Enter to disable it. Later, you can use the same process to re-enable it. Hi Rod I was wondering if you have my miner problem. On my hp desktop computer wen I am in action center and tab threw I get blue tooth on and if I click it it just takes me to blue tooth settings. I can not get that button to just say blue tooth if it did it would mean its off.but its saying on all the time. But on my dell laptop the blue tooth button says button it does not say on. Maybe its just my system. Cheers Michael. _______________________________________________ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared.
