Hello, Back to troubleshooting my PC or WE 9.3.
I was just on Ebay, and attempted to look for Computer Components. Taking the suggestion of someone on this list, I took WE 9.3 out of Browse mode, and started typing my item to search for. WE 9.3 spoke random info, not much having to do with what was typed. I ignored this. Tabbed around to Category, and down arrowed to Computers. Tabbed again to the Search Button, and Pressed Enter. The search was run, and I needed to put WE 9.3 back into Browse mode. Otherwise using the Arrow keys to read each line on the page did not work. I needed to press the Down Arrow slowly, as going too fast will give WE 9.3 more than it knows what to do with. The speech will go away, and you need to wait. Any where from a few seconds to a minute or two. Any longer, and the Speech is gone. I could Arrow down, one line at a time, and this time, actually was able to look at perhaps 10 items up for auction. After these 10 items, pressing the down arrow resulted in no speech. Waiting for speech to return did nothing. Arrowing back up several lines did nothing. About 30 seconds later, WE 9 started to read the lines for the last item of the 10 items I had read before. Arrowing down again, caused WE 9.3 to go quiet again. Arrowing Down more resulted in nothing getting spoke. Arrowing back up, and then waiting, again any where from 30 to 60 seconds, again the last of the 10 items read before was read again. Arrowing down again till WE stopped speaking this time caused the speech to go away, and stay away. ALT CTRL-W Restarted WE 9.3, which then brought me back to the WE 9.3 Control Panel. had to Tab out of it because the panel would not close by pressing the ESC key. This brought me back to the Ebay web page that held the search results for the computer items. Again arrowing down past the 9 or 10 items that was seen and read before, ended again by the speech going away. I closed I.E. 11, and was back at the Win 7 desk top. Does anyone know how WE 9 attempts to process and read Web pages? It really seems as if WE is struggling to read the page for Ebay. It is sluggish and if Down Arrows are pressed too quickly, WE can not keep up. it takes hardly any effort to over whelm WE 9.3. I know this is a New method WE has for reading Web pages. But, does anyone know how it works? I can not tell if Ebay has something on its screen that WE has troubles processing. Perhaps an Advertisement, but so far, have seen no hint of any Ads popping up and over laying the Search Results. Without knowing more about how WE works behind the sceens when it comes to reading web pages, I think all of us with these problems are going to continue to guess and guess and guess until WE manages to fix the problem, either by telling us how to work around it, or by fixing what is keeping WE from reading Web pages better.
