I have now got Windows 10 installed and with WE working.
Just in case anyone else has a similar problem, this is what I did.
I used a Linux install disk, in trial mode. This allowed me to
delete the WE folder and the machine would then boot correctly. I
used narrator and ran Weremove and then re-installed WE.
I tried all sorts of other ideas to get back in to Win 10 but it was
freezing every time as soon as WE tried to run. Recovery wouldn't
work and it wasn't possible to get in to safe mode as it seems to
have disappeared.
