When I rebooted this morning, it was back the old way. I don't know what it was that went wonky, but maybe rebooting the third time was the charm or something. Anyway, it's working like it should again.

Thanks!

Hi Marilyn,

There's an app called Windows Enhanced whose entry you'll find in the WE
control panel.
If you open its pull-down, an option called Replace systray dialog with
enhanced notification area dialog is checked.
You could try un-checking this and see if this makes a difference.

Hth,

Rod

Subject: Sys Tray change and problem

I just had to go through the installation of a new router-modem combo
to get my Internet service back. Somewhere in the process there was
an update for the GW toolkit. I know of nothing else that
changed. However, now, when I press numpad0-S, instead of the sys
tray items it says "Items I know" and gives me no items on the list
whatsoever. Anybody have any idea what happened?

Thanks!
Marilyn
