Hi,

If you look under the Enhancements tab in the properties window for your
sound card, are there any controls you can modify?

Hth,

Rod

Subject: Dell Optiplex tinney sound

I have a new Dell Optiplex 3020 64 bit desktop running Windows 7 pro and
WE 9.3. The sound has a tinney sound, seemingly no base or mid-range,
strictly treble. Does anyone else have this problem and have you found
a solution to it? It is not the speakers, since they worked perfectly
fine on my last desktop. I also tried another set of speakers with the
same result. I've looked for a way to adjust the sound via a mixer but
have not had any success finding one. This is the original installation
of Windows 7 from the factory. I am not aware of any new sound card
drivers available and I have all Windows 7 updates current.
