Hi Ivan,

>From the desktop, press Windows-x, and then press U.
Then, arrow down to the shutdown option you wish, and press Enter.
See if this gives you more control.

Subject: Window-Eyes will not close

The subject says it all. I hit alt-f4 followe by the enter key in response
to the query "Do you want to close the computer etc. W E announces that it
is being minimisedbut then it reopens.  Don't want the computer running for
ever. What can I do?
