I don't think these were related. I got the upgrade popup from AISquared and all went as it should. Hi: I booted up and after typing in my windows pwd I heard the windoweyes chimes and then got a popup message from my "\HardDisk" asking whether to allow updates to the disk. It did not say it was from AI Squared nor WindowEyes but from what sounded like the drive manufacturer or something. Since I just closed this request and then immediately got the AI Squared PopUp to download and install the update I have to assume they were related. Since I did not elect to allow updates from an unknown source I just closed the AI Squared PopUp since the install would have failed if related. Note that if related to your install notification and others didn't get this UAC request due to system settings their update would likely fail if required by AI Squareds Installer processes. Others have said that your dialog is not accessible, is your dialog accessible so I wont have to go find sighted help to do the install? Should I run a clean disk and will that clear the temp files or folders you say may cause problems or is there another temp folder involved and why don't you download the executable to the standard Windows Download folder like everyone else? I really don't like a unrequested notification from UAC to modify my computer during boot up and from the hard disk at that. There should be no impact to my computer unless I click on something to indicate I want to have my computer modified like a update menu item under the help menu. So: Will clicking through the unknown modifications to my computer requested from my hard drive cause me expensive problems? Will your installer be completely accessible and active during the download and install process? Exactly what do I need to do to clear the temp files or whatever you are talking about, run a clean disk or manually delete something and, if so, what? This is my production machine and breaking it would be expensive to fix me thinks.
