Get yourself a copy of 7zip. If you do you won't have this problem.
When you have 7zip installed, you can extract a file by pressing
either your context menu key or applications key, which is 2 keys to the
right of the space bar on a standard windows keyboard. If your keyboard
doesn't have one you can do the same thing with shift plus f10.
Press enter on what Window-eyes will call the 7zip pulldown. The one
you're most likely looking for when you press the down arrow keys is
called Extract files. so press enter on that and you'll get a dialogue
that lets you determine where your files will be unzipped. Yes, you
can certainly extract files with Windows 10 by itself, but if you want
to check out the contents of a zip archive before you extract it, you
can do this with 7zip. No computer I own is without a copy.
You can get it from ninite.com
