Hi folks
A while ago, my girlfriend had an issue on her pc where, all of a sudden
she wasn't able to read edit boxes, most notably in Thunderbird or
Miranda NG. Rod had suggested re-installing the factory settings and
that did the trick. Now, all of a sudden that very same thing is
happening to me, most notably in Miranda NG's conversation windows.
I've tried Rod's suggestion of re-installing the factory settings and
answering yes to replacing the existing set files, and over-writing the
dictionary entries, but still no luck. i haven't made any changes to
my system, it's as if it just stopped working for no reason I know of.
The conversation Windows read fine with other screenreaders, but not
Window-eyes. I used to also be able to read back what I wrote before
sending the message, but I can't do that now, either. All Window-eyes
says is read only rich edit for the edit box where you type, and when
arrowing arround in the actual conversation window I get no feedback
whatsoever. I don't need to tell you how frustrating this is especially
after you've tried the recommended stuff, in fact I did it a couple of
times just to make sure I did it correctly. Still no luck though and
I'm hoping someone else has solved this. This kind of thing seems to
happen every so often and I'm not really sure why.
