First, turning off Read first 24 lines in browse mode has nothing to do
with your problem. You're only in browse mode when reading messages. The
problem there is with the automatic reading being interrupted. And the
solution was to turn off everything else other than Read first 24 lines.
Typically it's the announcement of the number of links, headings, etc.
that kicks in after a line or two and then the automatic reading starts
again from the top. Give all those changes program scope.
Regarding your arrowing problems in a composition window? I'm not seeing it.
Are you running the latest version of Thunderbird?
Is the composition window maximized?
When you say you have to use the arrow keys several times to go forward
or back a line do you mean you have to go back and forth before the line
reads? If so, try upping the cursor delay.
Open the Window-Eyes control panel.
Go to Cursor Keys, right arrow to open, and arrow down to Options.
Now tab down to the Cursor delay button and make sure it's set to Program.
Tab again to the Cursor delay up/down control and arrow up a few times.
If it doesn't solve the problem up it a few more times.
Alternatively you can set it way up to something like 30 and see if it
solves the problem. At 30 you should notice a significant delay between
arrowing and speaking. If it solves the problem, go back in and bring it
down again and again until you find the reliable setting. You want this
to be as low as possible but high enough to work dependably.
And if it is the problem it will probably solve your left/right arrowing
problems as well.

Hello. I was wondering how come when your editing an email to be sent
out sometimes whenever you want to read what you have written you have
to use the arrow keys several times to either go forward or back a line,
with WE I have to do that when in Thunderbird mainly use the up and down
arrow keys for that task. Another thing I have to do is whenever I am
either using the left or the right arrow keys, sometimes Thunderbird
will somehow skip over a space or a character and you have to use the
left or right arrow key just to make sure you don't miss anything, is
there a fix or something in Thunderbird to make sure that something is
turned off? I am not getting this in note pad. Sometimes whenever I am
at the end of a word or character I have to go right then left to go
front one space or back one character then have to use the left arrow to
jump back to the previous one. I have turned off in the brows mode
settings under the new page 1 where it says read first 24 lines, set
that to nothing turned off the global scope so it is set to the program
scope and still getting this. I have read that suggestion in the digest
issue and applied that hoping that it would fix it. I even have the
font set in the composition area set to fixed width. Why is this
happening?
