Hi Don,

This suggests to me that there is a problem with the driver HP has designed
for the purpose of putting the machine to sleep.
I would simply do what works.

Subject: sleep issue with WE 9.3 and 9.4

Don't know why this makes a difference but on my HP laptop running 
Windows 10 and WE 9.4 if I first put the laptop in sleep mode then close 
the lid it seems to recover from sleep mode with WE talking.  If you 
simply close the lid thus putting it in sleep mode then open the lid WE 
has issues from speaking upon returning from sleep mode.  This issue did 
not exist with WE 9.2.
