You may have a different experience depending how you read the text
(down arrow by line, down page or read to end for example).

As you can see, if you read a character at a time, the words are
spelled correctly, but the reading is totally disjointed. It does not
happen all of the time and it is not consistent enough to duplicate
it. However, if I do have an email message where it happens, that
message will always read that way, even after closing Thunderbird and
opening it again. To be fair, it may also happen with Firefox, but I
don't use that borwser enough to say anything definite. I am running
a Windows7 PC with Home Premium.
