Before I installed GWX Control Panel, I was getting messages to update to
Windows 10. I was able to hide the update twice successfully. However,
somewhere along the line, I was not getting notified about Windows 7
updates. After I installed the GWX Control Panel, my Windows 7 update
settings were restored to what I have previously set before the Windows 10
update was started. I have my Windows 7 updates settings to notify me when
updates are available, but let me choose when to download and install them.
In other words, I would presume your update settings reverted to those you
had before you began dealing with the Windows 10 update.

My daughter installed GWX Control Panel for me yesterday. This morning when
I started my Win7 PC I got a message saying that Windows Updates were
available and that the next time I booted my computer they would be
installed, or if left on, they would be installed at 3 a.m. I did not hear
anything about Windows 10, but I am wondering if my installation of GWX has
been done correctly and/or if this is just a Win7 update? Any knowledgable
advice or info will be appreciated.
