Under IE's Tools menu itemsget down to Internet options (or something like
this) and set your home site to:
About:Blank
but don't recall whether caps are needed for the 2 words.  This is 1980s
architecture.
By setting this one avoids downloading all of the stuff from a web site each
time one initiates IE.

 Hi,

I had a blank page set as my home screen when IE was launched. Well, I
went to Microsoft to find information about upgrading to Windows 10 and
now, MSN has taken away my home page.  Does anyone remember how to get
the blank screen again?  Thanks.

Carol
