Ted,
1. I would think there's a way to read a web page with Narrator. But I
haven't used it enough. There are a lot more functions in Narrator now
so you might want to go through the help from within the Narrator
control panel.
2. I've never heard of installing an external fan on a laptop.
3. I think Windows Defender is designed to automatically not load if
there's another anti-virus on the system. But you can check by opening
Settings, Update and Security, Defender, and tabbing down to the on/off
control.
4. I use Windows Defender and Malware Bytes Pro.
Regards,
Tom

Dear List:
I am upgrading from a desktop windows xp to a windows ten laptop and next
payday I hope to get the latest window-eyes.
I have four questions:
1. Using narrator, on a web page, I can move around with the tab key, but not
with the arrow keys. Is there a way to listen to each line of the web page
with narrator?
2. How important is it that I buy an external fan for my laptop?
3. My wife installed her bit defender virus protection on my computer. How
can I be sure that windows ten defender is not still running in the background,
causing two antivirus programs to run at the same time?
4. When you either bought or upgraded to a windows ten computer, did you drop
your former virus protection in favor of windows defender, or did you stay with
the virus protection you were using?
Thanks for any ideas on these questions. Regards: Ted Larson
