In windows 10, You can set the default browser you want to use just by
going in to a search box and typing default browser and hitting enter.
The browser that is shown is the one that is the current default. If
you activate that button, your given other browser options and in my
case that includes IE, Firefox, Google Chrome, and Edge. Sometimes
after a Windows 10 update, I'll get a dialogue box asking me if I still
want to use IE and IE stays my default browser unless I want to switch
to another browser.

some of there so called improvements is to block all browsers from
being used in the search engines. no matter what browser you have as
the default it will use edge.
unless someone comes out with a hack to stop this from happening.

They're coming out with a major update in July from what I've read. RJ

It is coming up on a year since Win 10 was released and still the new
Edge browser isn't accessible. Makes you wonder if Microsoft is
really making its products fully accessible in a reasonable amount of
time.
