You can use the Kurzweil voices, or any other voice you have on your
computer.
A really quick way to have access to all the voices you want is to use the
Window-Eyes Voice Rotor App.
 The Window-Eyes manual says:

 Voice Rotor

The Voice Rotor app lets you create a list of your favorite synthesizers or
SAPI voices and switch to them with the press of a single hot key. The Voice
Rotor options dialog, which can be reached from the Apps menu of the
Window-Eyes control panel, allows you to configure the rotor to your liking.
Once done, you can press Windows-F2 to move forward through your voices or
Shift-Windows-F2 to go in the opposite direction. The list of voices you
choose acts like a circle. That is, if you are at one end of the list and
try to move beyond it, your position within the rotor will wrap around to
the opposite end. This app makes it extremely easy to switch among
synthesizers such as DECTalk Access 32, Eloquence, SAPI voices, or hardware
synthesizers.
For more information regarding this app, visit

I have the Windows 10 Microsoft voices as well as Kate and Paul from
Kurzweil.  My favorite is still DecTalk though.

Hi Pam,,

I have Kurzweil and use the voices with Window-Eyes. All I do is to
open the WE control panel, control-backslash,

Press "D" until you get to devices

Right-arrow to expand and arrow down once to synthesizers

Tab once and press the letter "s" until you get to Sapi

Tab once and press the letter "V"

If you have the voices, they will show up here. Press "v" until you
cycle around the available VW voices.

When you find the one you want, press enter on it.

You will get a prompt in the new voice asking you to press the letter R
to revert to the old voice or the letter K to keep the new voice.

You will most likely need to adjust your speed and possibly tone.
