i turned the option to search on the net from the cortana search box. i don't want it searching on the net when i am looking for a setting on my computer. for now i still use firefox and google to do searches on the net.
this is a so called windows improvement.
the windows search will also only use bing. no matter what default search
engine you have.
microsoft also wants to block the use of all web browsers except edge.
this is pland for the upgrade after july.

Subject: Searching from the start menu will now only launch Edge for webresults

Speaking of Windows 10 and the need for Window-eyes support for Edge,
has any one noticed the following recent change? When you do a search
from the start menu and you press enter to search the web for your
result, it will now only bring up Edge regardless of what your default
web browser is. As far as I'm aware there is no way to change this behavior.
