However, because this goal of identifying caller id info from a phone line is quite complex, the developer recommended purchasing a modem from his list of ones he tested to ensure proper performance. I did this and hav had no problems. The developer even gave me a 50 percent discount on the software back in 2012 as a courtesy for me as a blind person. Note that you have to subscribe to the caller id service on the land line you want to monitor.
