Hi Karen, I agree, and yet I believe this notification is sent by your sound device software, and, as long as the sound device's driver software is installed, I don't think much can be done to suppress it. I don't like it myself, in one way, but, in another, at least somebody is taking care of me, and it's kind of important stuff to be notified about, especially if you accidentally unplug something. I am using a laptop computer, which I sometimes use with speakers, and sometimes not. Sometimes I will just move it from one room to another, unplugging one set of speakers, and plugging in another. Is there any way to disable the message asking me which device I've plugged in, every time I plug in a different speaker? This computer seems to want to do everything else on its own. Shouldn't it be able to figure that out without asking?
