Hi. The reason is that the layout that you are probably using is the zoomtext Fusion layout. This layout uses the screen reading standards, like insert S for speak all, Insert f7, etc. You might want to go into the Window-Eyes control panel, expand the keyboard treview by hitting k and then right arro, and arroing down to layouts, and tabbing until you hear Window-Eyes tell you the layout you are on and then down arro and select the Window-Eyes defaults layout and hit the apply layout button.
