Nick,
Thank God this hasn't happened to me as of yet (knock on wood), but the
problem with just settling for that is that it is mighty inconvenient
for those times when you simply press enter on a link in an email
message, and you end up with a browser that is even more inconvenient if
you are using WE, or any other screen reader for that matter.
I guess I kind of get why MS might wish to proscribe one's browser when
using Cortana, because both are products wed to their OS, but when it
comes to one's use of competitive software, like email clients and such,
and having even those products so wed really is bordering on the
monopolistic I'm afraid, and I'm not one who is particularly prone to
reacting in this way very often.
Hopefully this is simply a technical issue that could some how be
remedied through some normal conventional means within the OS, but if it
isn't ...
