You can definitely route Window-eyes' output through any soundcard or 
headphones it recognizes once you select a speech synthesizer. However, this 
must be done for each engine. Also, your Windows sounds can only be routed 
through your default soundcard, so make sure you've chosen the one you want as 
the default. Other audio editors and workstations allow you to route their 
audio through separate soundcards, but Windows system sounds and media player 
audio can only be sent to the default soundcard, which you can always change in 
the Windows control pannel.
