Eh, don't worry, rod. I live on my desktop as well. I have an ancient laptop with networking disabled and no protection for when I want to sit outside and work. It's amazing how much not having internet access or anti-virus and malware programs can bring an old system back to life.

Otherwise my phone is it for on the go computing.

I don't do virtual machines. But it's always baffled me why we used to be able to create RAM drives when we had no RAM and now that we have piles of it we can't create them anymore. Of course there may be a way and I just haven't found it yet. So I guess I'll just have to wait another decade until we all have 4 Tb non-volitile RAM blocks and no hard drives. (grin)
