I want to add that in Outlook 2013, at least, there is a significant lag of time after hitting Enter to open a message, before speech begins. And it's quite a significant lag; I estimate under 3 seconds of silence. And then you must press the control key after that, to interrupt speech and then issue the read-to-end command.

It's been going on without relief through several upgrades and updates of Win-eyes, and through updates of the Outlook scripts. I, too, find that tapping the control key to stop speech momentarily after opening a message, and then executing a read-to-end will cure the problem, but it must be done for each and every opened message. It's very tedious, and slows down the reading of mail considerably.
