No, the Notification Bar and its keyboard shortcuts are specific to Internet Explorer. The process for downloading files in Firefox is a bit different. And, the exact process depends on how you have Firefox configured. For example, you can configure Firefox to automatically save files to a specific folder (Downloads by default) or you can choose to be prompted with a Save File dialog each time you initiate a download.
