Like a lot of you, I updated to Windows 10, which I like fairly well, but I
have also found some problems involving some of my older software. I have
written some of my own programs using PowerBasic and found these programs would
not run on Windows 10. I also use MS Office 2003 and found at least one
instance where it runs very slowly. A couple days ago I found at least one
solution. Windows 10 automatically installs and runs a program called "Game
Bar". Each time I tried running one of my PowerBasic programs, a small blue
window would open up with information about "Game Bar". My programs would open
up behind the small blue window but would not run properly. I google "Game
Bar" and found it is part of a "XBox" provision to play those games on the
Windows 10 computer. I then found if I entered "XBox" in the start menu I
found an option to uninstall X"Box", which I did and now my PowerBasic programs
work find. Not sure about MS Office yet. Hope this knowledge may hel
 p some of you.
