Hi Lou, That one tickled me down to my toes. Lol
Take care, Rod -----Original Message----- From: Talk [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of via Talk Sent: Thursday, September 8, 2016 11:14 AM To: 'Window-Eyes Discussion List' <[email protected]> Subject: Better late than never, was RE: Very Minor Suggestion Regarding the B and Shift B Command inBrowse Mode Hi, David and Rod. I was going through old, old emails and ran across this one. Don't know how I missed it when it was first posted. Quite funny. There is a way to stop the confusion without baking it into Window-Eyes, by the way. Set the window-Eyes verbosity to speak the window type before the window data. The setting is in the verbosity> common> focused settings. There is a combo box called speak window types wihch is set by default to after window data. If you switch the setting to before window data, Window-Eyes will announce the word button first. This way, in a hypothetical situation where you press the b hot key and there is no button on the page, Window-Eyes would say, "No button." But if you pressed the b hot key and there was indeed a button with the label "no," Window-Eyes would say, "Button, no." Better late than never? Of course, one could always navigate away from and back to the alleged button to test its presence. I did get a chuckle from your post, though, and thanks. Smile All the best, Rod -----Original Message----- From: Talk [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David Goldfield via Talk Sent: Thursday, March 26, 2015 1:05 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Very Minor Suggestion Regarding the B and Shift B Command in Browse Mode Yesterday, I was navigating through a Web page and I pressed the letter B as I thought that the page contained buttons. As it happens, the page did not contain any buttons and Window-eyes understandably said "no button." I thought, however, that this was, in fact, a button labeled "no" as in a form where you have a "yes" button and a "no" button. It's almost funny, really, and I found it amusing. I wonder if the message should be changed to something like "no button available" or words to that effect. _______________________________________________ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared.
