Charllie: I think that is the ultimate question. My own now long standing conclusion is that the signs do not look good.
If VFO can finance increasing the profile of JFW, with advanced notice of what to expect, the same can happen for Window-Eyes. I think it safe to assume that if VFO senior leadership is Freedom Scientific stacked, Window-eyes development will cease. Existing copies will function, until Windows and other applications change such that Window-Eyes can no longer manage the interface for them. This is my strongly held personal view - if these discussions get filtered up to John Blake et al, someone with authority to speak to us should show some leadership and tell us to stop the speculation or alternatively say - the current release is the last. Vfo could turn Window-Eyes into a free alternative to NVDA, and open it up for interested others to develop. Or they could do exactly what they are doing for JFW: tell us what to look forward to.
