I'm able to tab through the Help -> About window and have it speak the version.
You can also go to Help -> Health report. The version is displayed in there. It's probably a good idea to enable Firefox automatic updating if you ahven't. That's not a piece of software that is good to let fall too behind with everything lurking on the web these days.
