Hi,

I think this is a focus issue.
Try Alt-tabbing away and back to the message.
Also, I assume you're using SendTo to attach the file?
You might have more success in keeping focus if you open a brand new message
first, then use your email program's built-in file-attachment function.
For example, in Outlook, you would choose the Attach file option from the
Insert tab.

Hth,

Rod

Subject: adding a message to an attachment using Windows Live Mail

Hi everyone,

I’m using Window-Eyes 9.5.3 on a Dell laptop with Windows 7.

I figured out how to send an Mp3 file as an attachment. When my wife does
this, she’s able to add a message in the field where you would normally type
something after the “subject” field. When I try it with Window-Eyes turned on,
I can’t enter any letters, and when I hit a key I get feedback from the
keyboard telling me that I’ve pressed the right key, but I also get an annoying
noise, and she says nothing comes up on the screedn.

Anyone have any ideas? Since this can be done when Window-Eyes is unloaded, it
sounds like some kind of Window-Eyes problem. Is there a solution?
