Sorry, I've not been following the Thunderbird thread as i never use Thunderbird. Found I didn't like it several years ago. But to each their own.
However, is the problem, you cannot read the text you've just typed? Does it allow you to read incoming mail? Becky stopped reading Incoming mail after the Win 10 update. turns out some Driver may not be loading properly. The Work around, is for me to Exit all programs, including Window Eyes.
