I also do not know of a command for bookmarking, but what I do is to
insert something specific where I want a marker and then save the
document. When I need the bookmark again, I simply do a search for that
particular symbol, i.e. bmk or something you know will not be in the
document. This has been my choice for years and I have found it to be
very reliable (unless I forget to set the bookmark, grin) as I use text
documents in other readers and have several different programs that do
not have any bookmarking features.
