You didn't say what version of Windows you're using. In Windows 10, when
you're in your list of folders or in a list of files within a folder, the
quickest way to sort is to press F6. Window-Eyes will say:
"Name, closed, split button."
Press enter, and the contents will flip, a to z, or z to a.
If you'd rather organize by date, press F6 and right arrow to date modified.
(That's where the "split comes in.) You can sort from earliest to most
recent, or the other way round, just as you can by name. You can also sort
by type and size.
I think the F6 worked this way in Windows 7 too.

Subject: Organize folders

Hi Folks:

I have a drive with a folder called books.

I have alwas had it sorted from a to z.

I have just discovered it is now z to a.

I have no idea why this has happened.

Have I let an intruder in. (smile)

I have lookded under the context key where I thought the choice to organize
was there, but, alas, not there.

Don
