Hi David,

The only way I have seen that it is done is by highlighting the Deleted items
folder, pressing the Applications key or Shift-F10, and then arrowing down to
Empty folder and pressing Enter, or pressing Y.
Incidentally, I used to do this frequently, until I came to see how often I
return to messages I have deleted, but, once you empty the folder, there's no
going back.
This is just an observation from my personal experience. (smile)

Happy trails,

Rod

Subject: Emptying Deleted folder in Outlook2016

Hi everyone,

I am just beginning to use Outlook 2016 and am wondering where to go or if
there is a keyboard command to empty the deleted folder?

When I used office 2007 which is what I was using before 2016 I would go to
the tools menu and arrow down to Empty Deleted Folder. But now I can not
find an option like this in the 2016 ribbon.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Dave
