Hello.
I have run into this problem before, but it usually goes away with
restarting Window-Eyes or in extreme cases, restarting the computer. I
have a friend that can't get Window-Eyes to read her edit box when she
presses the F2 key. We restarted her PC (Windows 7) and I had her
select an icon on the desktop. By pressing the home key and arrowing
through, the speech was normal, reading each character. We went to the
folder she wanted to rename files in and did the same procedure, but
there was no speech as long as the F2 key was pressed. I went through
her Window-Eyes settings and could not find anything that would make the
speech silent on the edit box. Am I missing something? Thanks for your
suggestions.
Carol
