Bob, this behavior is definitely kind of weird. I had the same thing
happen after allowing an update for my Adobe Flash Player from a Web
site. The only way I managed to get rid of it in that instance was to do
a system restore. About the only advice I got from anyone was to the
effect of just waiting it out and it would/might eventually go away, but
it was just too annoying, and I thought that some kind of malware might
be involved, so I took the above action, and it did the trick.
Why this should happen after installing a motherboard and a processor is
a real mystery, but I don't know what else to suggest.

script message that mentions Active x and shell along with a lot of
random letters and numbers.
Does anyone know how I can get rid of this annoying behavior? I'm
running Windows 10 pro.
