Yup. Rebooting is always a good option. I guess things have stabilized
enough over the years that we don't have to reboot 14 times a day any
more. So it's no longer my first thought with every problem. What
progress. (smile)

I've never had a problem with this. I checked my cursor delay as it was my
first thought. But it was set to global scope and the default value of 2.
You might also try the auto-detect cursor hot key: Control-Insert-C.
