It was at that time I bought my Booksense standerd from GW Micro. I still
have all of the GW Micro training mp3 files they did.

I remember when HIMS was part of GW Micro. I was surprised when they
disconnected. Pam.

Brenda, your post sheds more light on the fears that have gripped my tiny
soul since the current situation unfolded. I would never have known that GW
Micro was highly instrumental in getting HIMS, Inc. started in the United
States!
Like you, the help I have gotten from GW Micro has been stellar. When my
wee, small company offered money transfer services through Moneygram, it was
Mr. Marc Solomon, now gone, who helped me gain some reasonable access to the
poorly written Moneygram software that I had to use. Moneygram did have a
blind young man in their technical support department who was a Jaws user.
Note that I used the verb "was" because I'm not certain whether or not the
young man still works for Moneygram! Sufficing to say, he was unable to
help me with any issues pertaining to the accessibility of the Moneygram
software. I wondered what sort of services he was providing in tech
support, but I didn't ask him during our many conversations.
I do recall that Mr. Solomon and I spent several hours on the phone with
Moneygram whereby he was explaining to the company what it could do
differently to make its software fully accessible. Sadly, Moneygram WAS NOT
WILLING to make the necessary changes contending that it would require a
rewrite of the software from the ground up! I recall Mr. Solomon indicating
to the official we were in contact with that a rewrite of the software would
not be necessary and he did his best to point out the tweaks that could have
been made to their software with relative ease. In the end, Moneygram would
not budge and I had to terminate whatever contracts my company had with it.
I realise that I am an ancient wine repouring myself into a bottomless
bottle! Be that as it may, I've never heard, in this industry, of a
similarly situated corporation that goes over and perhaps beyond the call of
duty like GW Micro did for and with me. My fears are not allayed; rather,
they remain in place! The writing on the wall seems clear enough but
perhaps I should quit reading it, or else learn to indulge in false
pretense!
Sincerely,
Olusegun
