Dear List:

For years, I used the method of using the application key on internet
explorer to create a shortcut and then the send to desktop to put a shortcut
on the desktop. Often times, it did not work. For those instances, a
Microsoft tech told me to do the following from within a website to put a
shortcut on the desktop: alt-F and then the letter e and then the letter s.
This worked for me using internet explorer when the application key (context
key) did not do it properly. . I do not know if this will work with
different browsers or which method for creating desktop shortcuts is best
for other browsers, but with internet explorer, it works great for making
all desktop shortcuts. Regards: Ted Larson
