Hi:

Command prompt isn't gone.

As mentioned before, one thing you can always do is to type "cmd" at the run
command.

If you access command prompt using Windows X to bring up the menu, there is
a way to change the setting back to what it used to be.

Press Windows key plus I to bring up settings. Press Tab, and arrow right
until you get to "personalization"". Hit Enter on that. Press Tab again and
down arror until you reach "TaskBar" Press Enter on that. Tab until you
hear an option that says "Replace Command Prompt with Windows PowerShell in
the menu when I right-click the start button or press Windows key+X". Make
sure that is off by pressing SpaceBar on it if it says the option is "on".
That brings back the old behavior. Not sure if this will stay this way when
the public build comes out, but, it has stayed in the insider preview
builds.

Hope this helps.

Hello to the list.

It is mentioned in this post about a windows power shell.

How would one go about changing this back to the command prompt?

I do use programs that require the command prompt and I use bat files to
execute these programs. the programs do drop to the command prompt and run
basically what you would call running under dos in some of the older Windows
systems.

I run programs 2 at a time dsd plus and fmp. These programs are software
defind radio programs that run from the command prompt.

Kenneth Son.
