Hi Nick,
The shift tab works for seeing the "to" field when reding a TB message
without having to reply. This way I can see if someone is sending to me
or to me and the list.
I do hear the words "edit contact" being read, but I can't access that
when I press enter. there is no browse mode, and numpad-mouse doesn't
work in Thunderbird (so you aren't missing anything there).
I think to spell the individual name in a header you would have to reply
to the sender or reply to all andshift-tab to the box you wanted then
use your arrow keys. You could then close the message without saving or
sending. Unfortunately, it appears this extra step is needed to get
details.
hth,
Brenda

After giving Brenda some advice that I am surprised actually worked for
her, I find myself having a related question. To review, I told her she
could read the headers by tabbing. My question is, how can I spell each
letter of the subject for example? Arrow keys don't tell me anything,
and I don't use any of the mouse keys, in part because I don't have a
numlock key.

Is there a way to view the header (?) info when reading an email. the
numpad mouse keys don't work in TB, so how do you get to the to, From,
Subject lines without replying to a message?
